Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Settle mobile application ("Settle," "the App"), provided by 1984labs ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading or using Settle, you agree to these Terms.

1.Not a medical device

Settle provides self-guided breathing exercises, grounding techniques, sleep tools, and educational information about anxiety-related sensations.

2.Emergency contact feature

Settle's emergency contact feature lets you save one contact or helpline number and place a phone call to it with a single tap. This feature simply opens your device's native phone app — it is not a monitored service, does not contact emergency services, and does not notify anyone automatically. You are responsible for choosing an appropriate contact.

3.Accounts

Settle does not require you to create an account. Your activity and settings are stored locally on your device.

4.Subscriptions

Settle offers optional Premium features available by subscription (monthly or yearly), billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled according to Apple's or Google's own policies, not by us directly.

5.Acceptable use

You agree to use Settle only for its intended, lawful purpose, and not to attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the App.

6.Intellectual property

All content within Settle, including guides, illustrations, and audio, is owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

7.Disclaimer of warranties

Settle is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs.

8.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Settle.

9.Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Settle for any user who violates these Terms.

10.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Settle after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
