Settle ("Settle," "we," "us") is a mobile app designed to help with anxiety and moments of panic through breathing exercises, grounding techniques, sleep tools, and situational guidance. This policy explains what information Settle collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.

Our approach

Settle is built to work almost entirely on your device. We do not operate a backend server that stores your personal data, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Information we collect

Emergency contact (optional)

If you choose to set up an emergency contact, Settle lets you either select a contact from your device's address book or enter a name and phone number manually. If you use the contact picker, only the name and phone number of the contact you select are read — no other information from your address book is accessed or stored. This information is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and you can remove it at any time in Settle's settings.

App usage & progress

Settle keeps track of which sessions (breathing, grounding, sleep) you've completed so it can show you your own progress. This is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to us.

Subscription & purchase information

If you purchase Settle Premium, the transaction is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and by our subscription management provider, RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your subscription status (such as whether you're subscribed, and to which plan), but we do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat each process this information under their own privacy policies.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, physical location, health data, or any advertising identifiers. We do not use cookies, analytics SDKs, or advertising trackers of any kind.

Data security

Information stored by Settle is kept using your device's secure, OS-level storage. Because this data isn't transmitted to us, its security depends primarily on your device's own security — passcode, biometric lock, and so on.

Children's privacy

Settle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

You can remove your emergency contact at any time in Settle's settings. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data associated with it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above.
