Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Costlane mobile application ("Costlane," "the App"), provided by 1984labs ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using Costlane, you agree to these Terms.

1.What Costlane does

Costlane helps you build price quotes from job templates, track clients and quote history, and export quotes as text or PDF. Costlane does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice — you are responsible for the accuracy of the rates, VAT settings, and figures you enter, and for any quotes you send to your clients.

2.Accounts

You need an account to use Costlane, created with an email and password or via Sign in with Apple. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3.Your client data

Costlane lets you store records about your own clients, such as names and contact details, as part of building and tracking quotes. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to store and process that information, and for how you use it outside the App.

4.Subscriptions

Costlane offers a free tier with a limited number of quotes per month, and an optional Pro subscription (monthly or yearly) that removes that limit, billed and managed through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store account settings. Refunds are handled according to Apple's own policies, not by us directly.

5.Acceptable use

You agree to use Costlane only for its intended, lawful purpose, and not to attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the App.

6.Intellectual property

All content within Costlane, including its design, templates, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

7.Disclaimer of warranties

Costlane is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs.

8.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Costlane, including any losses arising from quotes you send to your clients.

9.Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Costlane for any user who violates these Terms.

10.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Costlane after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
